Designed by the Danish designer Carl Jacobs and built by British company Kandya. The seat and back of the chair are made from a single sheet of plywood that is shaped joined below the seat.  Single-piece moulded chair seats and backs, where cutting edge in the 50s with Eames another famous name using this style.  Produced for nearly twenty years, three hundred were used in a restaurant at the site of the Festival of Britain on the South Bank in London in 1952 according to the Victoria and Albert Museum.
